The next step in the planning process of the analytical report is to figure out a way to change the perceptive of how college students think of the Fargo Theater. From the surveys and the research that was conducted by our group we were able to determine that a majority of the people know where the Fargo Theater is located. The stereotype from the research is what concerns me the most. Many college students between the ages of 18-24 view the Fargo Theater as old. Meaning that the play old movies and films that are not appealing and that the seats are expensive to watch the shows. By looking at their website I can see that it is easy to get that impression of the theater because live events are more expensive then movie showings. The Fargo Theater has tried to increase student attendance by providing late night films and reduced ticket prices but has had a low success rate. The real questions are if accommodations have been made why students are not showing. I believe it is that many of the students view the theater as not for them.
The solution to the problem is first to get students and the Fargo Theater on the same level and show the student body that the theater is meant for them and people of all ages. Late night film showings should mainly be directed towards the college age level by providing older films that people want to see. From the research that was conducted most students are available in the time frame from five to twelve p.m. During the week students have classes during regular working hours from eight to five. On weekends times vary for many students from part time jobs during the weekends and going home.

Project Plan Analytical Report
My plan of attack for this project will first be looking at the Fargo Theater and NDSU Students. The Fargo Theater is a business like many others they have money to allocate towards marketing and where they are going to and how they will divide it up. To decide where this money is going to be allocated the theater uses a cost benefit analysis. The goal here is to increase ticket sales to college students in a cost effective manner in order to create a profit. The Fargo Theater currently advertises in magazines, newspaper, and radio and occasionally on local TV. Their focus is on printed ads. Some key statics to keep in mind is that the average person sees thousands of ads and product placement everyday and at most they remember about only five to send of them. So in order to attract attention to students the theater has to appeal to students and get their ads to stick in our minds. For adds to stick they have to be easy to remember, catchy, appeal to are needs, desires and wants and they have to be advertised in the right place for all students to see. We know that not all students are going to participate so we have to be able to attract a percentage of them.
There are many forms of advertising on campus that are free of fairly cheap. Forms of advertising on campus include:
#1. List serve- which is email that is sent to everyone on campus with ads and opportunities.
#2. Thunder Radio – NDSU campus radio to keep all informed of activates on campus and others
#3. Spectrum – college newspaper that is similar to the Fargo Forum with many places for advertisements
#4. A frame signs – lawn signs that are around campus that inform students of upcoming events.
#5. Poster Ads – these ads can be place in building on bulletins boards.
#6. Face Book group – online website that a majority of college students are connected to.
#7. Campus Clubs – there are over 200 clubs on campus with people linked together who share similar interests.
These are many of the advertisement places on campus and there are still many ways to could advertise to college students on campus.

Group four market proposal plan for Fargo Theater
Group 4 blog post
Starting off:
1) Our mission is to create a marketing proposal plan for the Fargo Theater.
2) Some objectives for this assignment are to:
a. Research for more student involvement with the theater.
b. Create a research plan for a marketing proposal for the theater.
c. Address multiple audiences that would may/may not be potential customers of the theater.
3) We will work as a team to accomplish the research goals for this project.
4) Schedule
a. Background info on the Fargo Theater
b. Compile info found
c. Develop a research plan
If any conflicts come about, we have multiple contact info available to us to contact other group members.
Ways we will research to gather information:
-looking on and going through the webpage for the Fargo Theater
-calling and talking with Fargo Theater staff.
-reading blog posts related to the theater
-reading newspaper articles related to the theater
-look at other theaters of similar size to compare information
At this point in time we are still in the beginning stages of the research and development of where we are going to go with this whole assignment. Once we have some meetings and brainstorm a little bit we will be able to decide which direction we will be going. The most that we know now is what we have listed up above. We all think that once we get started it will snowball pretty quickly and we will end up with a solid plan.

The major i chose to take up was MIS. I have always had an interest with computers and technology, the following is my path for the next ten years as of now. I am currently a junior in college and will complete my studies two years from the end of this year. During my last year in school I will be doing the job search like many others. My job search will be in North Dakota in the Fargo/Moorhead region. Currently i have a few leads, a good friend of mine is the manager over a bytespeed computers in Moorhead who has been offereing me a job. Other areas i will apply are going to be Microsoft, Butler Machinery, and so others all which i have references. As far a pay scale goes it varies from company to company. The latest news i heard was the Microsoft was hiring new employess in computer realated areas are pay scale started at 55,000 bottom and 130,000 for top employess that have experience. College student guessing will start at the bottom and move from their. After i find a place of employment, then you have to start, slowing working your way up.
